It's WCMD, Shona!

My participation in  World Card Making Day has been, well, nil...in the past but not this year. This post is to show my apprectiation to my blogpal, Shona Chambers, who sent me some truly awesome products (including licorice...😋!) all the way across the Pacific Ocean. The licorice is gone but the stamps and dies will last indefinitely. So here we go:
This bear makes me so happy. In this case he looks as though he's rising in wonder at this star-filled frozen sky. This was my first galaxy sky and I think I went a bit overboard on the stars. So I kept the rest of the card fairly simple. The star and sentiment are covered in clear, cool glitter...thankfully it broke up some of that busy night sky. I'll enter it to Simon Says Wednesday & Muse Christmas Visions because a) it's Christmas-y and b) it has a critter on it for the Muse challenge.
Went die cazy on this one...can you tell? This was a fun project...this CAS-Fridays' die doesn't look like much in the package but it is one versatile die set...perfect for any occasion. I mean, hearts are equal to neutral ink colors for your stash. First, since I had a blue panel on my desk I dry embossed using the die, then ran it through again, lining it up properly for the opposite side of the card. Diecut a white panel twice and positioned them on the blue panel creating quite a bit of dimension. Attached some diecuts for the sentiment to diecut scalloped circle and called done. Easy peasy.
Taking this time to tell Sho how grateful I am that she's my friend and that she's one of the sweetest people I know. Big MWAH's and hugs, girl. Love ya!

  3. Your galaxy background caught my eye at Muse Christmas. I don't think you went overboard at all - it's stunning.
Ha ha! Love how you say easy peasy for your die cut card. It would take me a month of Sundays to make something like that. Such a pretty and interesting design.
