I've tried to catch up with Kathy Racoosin's, The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring challenge but so far have failed miserably. I did, however, manage to color this little VW from Essentials by Ellen for Muse Christmas Visions. I was inspired by the always brilliant Cornelia (see her amazing card below...it'll make your heart stop, but not permanently) who actually got her inspiration from a shopping bag. I'm not as talented as her so I tried a super moon over some city streets. The building dies are from Hero Arts.
I just got this die and sentiment from Hero Arts and had to use it pronto. They're part of June's card kit and add-ons which I immediately fell in love with. Alchohol inked a summery, beachy background and used cherry wood veneer for the die cut overlay. Couldn't bring myself to cover up any of that goodness so used vellum to emboss the sentiment with the kit's sand powder. Very simple but it made me happy. Adding it the A Blog Named Hero's current challenge.
Have a wonderful, restful weekend and Happy Father's Day to all the men out there doing the hardest job, ever.
Fabulous cards - I love your supermoon and the beetle with the tree! Thanks so much for joining us at MCV!
ReplyDeleteFrom the city to the beach, you've rocked both these designs, Coni! I really got a kick out of seeing the Bug driving through the city with the tree on top, and under a full moon, too! And your beach scene looks like an inlaid wood work of art! Winner!! Hugs, Darnell
