Fish & Santa

Here I go again with really disparate subjects for cards to fit some current challenges.
Since I can't let summer go yet (can you believe August is over on Friday?), I decided on an ocean theme. Watercolor seemed the appropriate medium and Avery Elle's liquid paints did the job for the background. Added Picket Fence silver embossed fish schools to it then diecut Distress ink colored fish, also silver embossed MFT fish for a focal point. Added the Picket Fence sentiment and called it done. Adding this to Happy Little Stampers "Anything Goes with Dies
Lindsey is providing the slightly snarky adorable card (shown below) for Muse Christmas Visions this time. Decided to pick up on the snark and used Reverse Confetti's sentiment embossed on Pink Fresh patterned paper. Then pulled out Memory Box dies and some very old felt and diecut the Santa. Attached an Altnew frame to the sentiment panel with foam tape and added the Santa. Done!

Tata, you all. Have a great week.

  1. I may be here for the Santa card, but I really like your fish with their water coloured background! And I'm so glad you found some snark to add to this sweet Santa card. Thanks for joining us at Muse: ChristmasVisions!

  3. That's a glorious, watery, kissy fishy scene, Coni ... the silver embossing makes it seem as though the sun is glinting through that gorgeous smooshy ocean onto the fish! Splendid Santa ... and such a fun sentiment ... hope it goes the right way when the Big Guy comes down the chimney! Hugs, Anita :)
