This is mine...
...which my daughter crocheted for me and that I wear every single day during Winter. It used to be yellow (my favorite) but, I've washed it so many times, it has faded and looks a bit disreputable. Still it's my favorite scarf and I love having a warm neck. Here's the card:
A selfie...and, yes, all that grey hair is mine. Concord & 9th provided the stamps, Copic, the colors, embossing folder is Stampin' Up's and the frame is from my snippets. Done.
Very cute! Jo x
ReplyDeleteoh Conil you do such an amazing job here! And so nice to see the scarf you based this card on. That background is so near the scarf pattern! And your colouring is superb-grey hair and all! And to make the scarf yellow and glasses blue was the perfect combo as it draws our eyes to it. Just love this card. Thanks for joining Time Out
ReplyDeleteIt has become my favorite shade of buttercream-yellow, Coni! I do just love your grey hair, and your Copic colored selfie! Well done, you... well done, daughter!

OMG this is the most amazing card EVER!!! I knew it was your card as soon as I saw it in the Gallery. So clever to adjust the stamp image to have no hat and all that dry embossing has my fingers itching to touch it. How fabulous that its that faded and loved, bet you'll wear it till it disintegrates. You've got one talented daughter and a DT that loves seeing you at TIME OUT!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a hoot! This really does look like you!!! And how neat that your wardrobe item has such a warm and cozy story connected to it! It's a winner to me! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun, charmingly lovely card. That cable knit embossing folder is making my heart skip many a beat. :)

Adorable! And how awesome is that the scarf is knitted by a loved one?!!!
ReplyDeleteWell don't you look awesome and cosy in that fabulous scarf, Coni ... bet you do IRL too! Delicious texture and wonderful colouring ... the hair is sooo stylish! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful - and you even did a bit of a self portrait (or am I mistaken?)
ReplyDeleteNo, you aren't mistaken except the stamp is cuter than I am and you can't see the wrinkles.
DeleteHahaha, your reply made me crack up!
DeleteYou look adorable in that scarf Coni and it's so precious! What a lovely thing thi pull out of your wardrobe and get a card made with it. You could probably give this card to your daughter ;) I also love the texture of the embossing folder. Thank you very much for taking time out and joining us, hugs ~ Ishani.
