Nothing Better Than Sax

The Male Room wants a Music based card. I think this covers it. Used a Honey Bee sentiment for the elements and a Hero Arts musical cover plate for background. Diecut the background and applied it to a black panel with foam tape. Stamped the sax on gold foil cardstock with Staz-on, added detail with Nuvo glaze. Used gold embossing for the sentiment strips and the diecut notes from the background and arranged them on the card. Done!

Umbrella?

Twofer this time was "Umbrella/Rain" which honestly made my isolated brain go, "WHAT???". It's taken me this long to come up with something...I do hope using just the umbrella is OK.

1.
First off, can you see the umbrella? Well, it's there. My usually supportive mate did not like this card but, as you see, I apparently didn't care. Stamped the unlabeled umbrella so it formed a "rayed" circle and colored them in. Diecut a circle, frame and acetate to fit the frame. Stamped the circle with a Stamp Market greeting in a gradient. Colored the frame with one color from the gradient and attached the acetate to it. Attached the sentiment circle to the centerof the frame. Applied foam tape to the frame and the circle to form a channel. Filled the channel with beads and sequins for a little shaker flash. Added the shaker to the stamped cardbase. Added a Simon Says sub-sentiment and some more glitzy sequins.
2.
The male in the household liked this card, which warms my heart. It's pretty self-explanatory...just some masking, lots of stamping and ink-blending. Popped up the bouquet and umbrella (yes, the same umbrella) for a bit of texture. Unforunately, this is an older unlabeled stamp set and I could not find it in any shops. If you know the company, please leave me a comment. The background rain and clouds are from Altenew.

Golden Virgo

CASology's cue word this fortnight is "Zodiac" and since my granddaughter will have a birthday soon, I decided that make her a card. Used a Reverse Confetti cover die for the background. Stamped and embossed a Visible Image star formation and "Virgo" on a circle, then the sign's traits on white cardstock in gold. Used a foiled snippet from my stash to mat the circle and glued it to the card. Diecut the panel and attached it to an A2 cardbase. Arranged and adhered the traits to the panel.

Birthday Balloons

AAA Birthday is looking for Dots and/or Stripes and I had the perfect Concord & 9th stamp sets for them. Stamped and embossed each balloon separately; Blue balloon in clear powder then heat embossed several times, orange balloon embossed with silver dots, green balloon, stamped, after masking the blue and orange, with white powder. Stamped the sentiment and colored it with similar colors. Added the strings and mounted the panel with a wonky tilt on patterned paper. Think the card serves for a male or female, adult or child. Don't you?

Blurred Lines

Less is More is looking for an Out of Focus image and this Penny Black stamp fit the bill. Used Memento markers for the coloring of the image. Sprayed watercolor paper and applied the colored stamp to it several times to get the blurry effect, blotting off the excess moisture in between. The sentiment is from Gina K Designs. Mounted on an A2 cardbase of the same watercolor paper.

Spring Garden

I'm inspired by Time Out's word challenge,  "If you have a garden and a library you have everything you need".  Since I've been out in my garden a lot due to social isolation and been reading because I have the time, this quote means a great deal to me.
Stamped The Stamp Market's diamond shaped background. Handcut the center diamonds and backed the resulting aperture with pink vellum. Diecut the handcut diamond shape with a Pink Fresh label die and changed the orientation before adhering it to the background. Layered Copic colored Pink Fresh diecut flowers through the resulting slits to create the bouquet. The The, oh so, appropriate sentiment is from Altenew then diecut with a Simon Says' die.

Ratty Cheer

Day of the Month Card Club is celebrating "World Rat Day" just now. Though I'm not fond of these vermin, Katzelkraft's rat stamp set is a favorite of mine. So with their Trash Can and of the miracle of masking, I stamped these two critters and the bin. Watercolored them, and after drying, used an older MFT stencil to create the alley's brick wall with Inktense pencils. Dried that and watecolore the grimey pavement. The sentiment is from Purple Onion stamped on a Waffle Flower die. Not sure the little guy really trusts his happy pal but everyone needs a bit of encouragement at the moment. Be safe and social distanced, folks.
