Belated Birthday

The Male Room is looking for a"Sentiment In Focus" and this unlabeled older stamp immediately popped into my brain. Coincidentally, a good friend just had a birthday, which I missed (no surprise there), so it seemed like a good chance to make up for my oopsie. Stamped and embossed in white on a kraft panel. Ombre colored the big "BIRTHDAY" with pencils. Also stamped/embossed in red then fussy cut the Picket Fence guy image. In addition, stamped/embossed a strip for the subsentiment. Ink blended around the panel and arranged the elements.
Update...The background stamp is from Uniko...thank you, Anita.

Know Your Chakras

CAS Mix Up wanted me to use gesso resist and I immediately thought of this Funky Fossil stamp set. Stamped with the gesso then ink blended over the image with Distress Inks using the colors of the body's Chakras. That is all. A technique I've hardly ever used...it was fun.
Hope everyone in blogland is safe and healthy. Hugs!

Fido, M.D.

Welcome to May...today I'm playing with AAA Cards new challenge with Dr. Fido. Felt during the pandemic that he would be the appropriate image to choose. As you see, he's at Seattle Grace Hospital speaking to a colleague about how this is affecting his patients. "Grey's Anatomy" seemed  the TV show to meet the challenge and the pale greenish oval seemed to mirror hospital's uninspired decor.
Stamped image is colored with pencils, sentiment is from Honey Bee, hospital sign is custom from my computer and oval stencil is from Taylored Expressions.

Primary Splats

Had some fun with the current Less Is More challenge, scribbles, drips and/or splats and watercolors. As you can see, I went for the splats. Simply put pools of color on watercolor card with a lot of water and tapped my finger in it. So much fun I did it a couple more times. Used The Stamp Market sentiment because I miss everyone's face lately and called it done.

Bold Birthday

Time Out's amazing "chair" inspiration (see below) is full of patterns but, though it's hard to believe, I don't have a usable chair in my stash. So I took to another tack, an old standby, Altenew florals. Because of the inspiration had all those patterns, I decided to diecut my pieces from Honey Bee patterned papers and colored cardstock (tons of both in my stash). Used Funky Fossil stamps to create a custom sentiment on the bold background stripes. Assembled and arranged my diecuts  and the card was complete.

Celebratory Puppy

Playing with Addicted to CAS using Penny Blacks stamps and dies. Watercolored both the fluffy pup and floral diecut strip. Once dry, attached the floral strip and some gold Create A Smile word diecuts on it. Then, adhered the fussy cut puppy as though he's sitting on the strip. Done.

Earth Day Homage

We have a beautiful planet that is, unfortunately, not treated as well as it should be. But I do feel blessed that Mother Nature provides us with such splendid flora and fauna. To make sure that they will continue to be, all people need to treasure and protect it. During the isolation period this is what my idle brain has been thinking. This Hero Arts stamp reminds me of that every time I've look at it.
I white embossed it on watercolor paper, colored it with using Altenew watercolor markers and set it aside to dry. Diecut Altenew's "blessed' die out of white cardstock and green fun foam and stacked them together. Stamped/embossed Honey Bee's words in white on black cardstock. Mounted it on a grey cardbase.
Happy Earth Day folks.
